Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic procedures.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate imaging equipment (gamma cameras, PET/CT scanners) to capture images of organs, tissues, and bones.
  • Patient Care: Explain procedures to patients and ensure their safety and comfort during scans.
  • Quality Control: Calculate and administer precise doses of radiopharmaceuticals, perform quality control checks on equipment, and maintain detailed patient records.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret imaging results.
  • Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Work Environment: Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and imaging rooms.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
  • Certification: Registered as a CT Technologist through the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • Experience: Min of 2 years of experience within specialty.
  • Certifications: Required BLS. Preferred ACLS.
