Radiologic Imaging Specialist

The Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting is responsible for performing radiology exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. This role requires a high degree of safety and quality, and the ability to prevent or reduce harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist radiologists in performing radiologic imaging procedures, selecting the proper protocol to obtain optimal images, and providing clinical documentation per scope of practice.
- Perform radiology exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures, ensuring patient preparation and explanation of exams, responding to patient questions and concerns, and completing associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.
- Understand and adhere to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards, reporting variances as necessary.
- Coordinate patient care, perform effective assessment, actions, and documentation, and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of services.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Radiology experience is preferred.
- Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiology (R) certification is required upon hire.
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) certification is required upon hire.
