We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiopulmonary Therapist to join our team at Ashe Memorial Hospital.

About the Job

This role will involve providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory care and hold a valid RT license in the state of NC.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks, including oxygen therapy, aerosol/humidity therapy, incentive spirometry, chest physical therapy, and bronchodilator therapy. They will also provide mechanical ventilator care, perform CPR and ventilator support, intubations, and extubations.

The Cardiopulmonary Therapist will work under the guidance of the Department Director but must be able to perform assigned clinical tasks without direct supervision. This includes assisting with orientation, inservice training, and continuing education of other staff and students when requested.

The ideal candidate will maintain current knowledge of department policies and procedures to facilitate communications as needed with nursing, administrative, and corporate staff. They will utilize communication and problem-solving skills to promote and maintain a positive professional image of the department.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory care
  • A valid RT license in the state of NC
  • CPR (BLS) certification
  • ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire date
  • NRP Certification

The estimated salary for this position is $62,000 - $82,000 per annum, depending on experience.
