We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Financial Analyst to join our finance team at Curative. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in various accounting tools and programming languages, combined with a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, VBA) to automate and streamline accounting processes.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models using Google Sheets, including advanced formulas and App Script.
  • Conduct data analysis using intermediate programming skills in Python and SQL. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports to support strategic planning and business development.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
  • Provide support for external audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Monitor and report on key financial and operational metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

  • Advanced analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities with an attention to detail.
  • Capable of working on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Analyst or similar role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and VBA).
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets (including advanced formulas and App Script).
  • Intermediate programming skills in Python, R, and SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
