Job Overview

Position Title: Logistics Operations Specialist

Compensation: $17 – 18/hour on W2

Employment Type: Contract Position

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, starting at 2:00 PM until completion of tasks

Role Summary:

This position involves physically demanding tasks, including the movement of totes, pallets, and restocking of ice trays.

Each tray weighs approximately 25 lbs, and responsibilities include assisting with daily distribution activities, order picking, and packing processes.

Key responsibilities encompass:

  • Receiving and processing customer orders, returns, and managing shipping and inventory.
  • Performing stocking and replenishment duties in a temperature-controlled environment.
  • Verifying received merchandise against shipping records, identifying discrepancies, and reporting any defects.
  • Organizing and stocking shelves to ensure proper placement of materials.
  • Utilizing radiofrequency (RF) devices for efficient stock picking.
  • Assembling customer orders by selecting items from shelves and placing them into totes for packing and shipment.
  • Inputting orders, returns, and related information into the computer system.
  • Inspecting returned merchandise and returning items to their designated locations in the warehouse.
  • Conducting daily inventory counts and investigating any discrepancies.
  • Assisting with inventory management procedures as needed.

Compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, safety regulations, and DEA guidelines is essential.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure product cleanliness and minimize injury risks.
  • Exercising sound judgment to follow detailed instructions.
  • Willingness to work overtime and participate in physical inventory counts.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Ability to perform in a production-driven environment with high accuracy.
  • Engaging in physical activities such as reaching, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Visual acuity for close and distant vision, as well as peripheral vision.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Managing stressful situations effectively.
  • Using a box cutter safely to open product boxes.
  • Working in varying temperature conditions, including refrigerated environments.
