Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Pioneers Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct medical care to patients under the direction of a physician.
  • Assess, plan, delegate, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Obtain patient history, vital signs, and reason for visit.
  • Recognize and evaluate changes in patient status and initiate action when appropriate.
  • Perform procedures within Medical Assistant scope of practice, such as venipuncture, vision screening, and dressing changes.
  • Document all treatments, procedures, education, and medication administration according to clinical charting guidelines.
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant required.
  • Current, unencumbered Colorado license required.
  • Current BLS certification within three (3) months of transfer or hire required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to move and traverse about the facility 50% of the time.
  • Frequently transport objects weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Occasionally position objects weighing up to 100lbs.
