Brown University is seeking a skilled Light Truck Driver to join our Dining Services team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and supplies across campus.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a light truck to transport goods and supplies to various locations on campus
- Ensure the security and proper storage of all goods at all times
- Assist in receiving and processing deliveries, including checking quantities and refusing deliveries that do not meet established criteria
- Perform a variety of tasks related to the timely and effective delivery of commissary goods and food and supplies for catered events
- Assist in setting up functions and retrieving all equipment sent out
- Unload function supplies and distribute items in proper locations
- Observe all safety, sanitation, and security standards of the department
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a neat, well-groomed, professional appearance
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift and move products and supplies up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
