Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support our team at Genoa Healthcare. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fills prescription orders and verifies medication stock under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
  • Works with the Pharmacist to ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements.
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues and patients.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in VT.
  • Unrestricted driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred).
  • 6+ months of pharmacy and prescription data entry experience (preferred).
  • 1+ years of customer service experience (preferred).
