At Dr. Richard Izquierdo Health & Science Charter School, we are seeking a certified and experienced Earth Science teacher to join our team. This is a full-time 10-month position, and the salary range for this role is $70,000 - $110,000 annually.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction to high school students in Earth Science. They must be able to demonstrate planning and preparation, instructional skills; effective classroom management and be motivated to engage in continuous professional development.
We require a Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree in Education or Science preferred. NYS certification in Science preferred. At least 2 years prior teaching experience in high school preferred. Demonstrated success working in non-traditional and/or urban school settings is also essential.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other teachers within your department and across other content areas. You will also be responsible for supervising and mentoring students, developing curriculum, and participating in professional growth activities.
