Cheese Connoisseur

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Cheese Steward at Market of Choice.

About the Role

The Cheese Steward will be responsible for creating an inviting in-store experience, providing exceptional customer service, and showcasing our extensive selection of artisan cheeses and specialty accompaniments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting and recommending cheeses and accompaniments for everyday dining and special events
• Stay up-to-date on food trends and applications involving artisan cheeses, charcuterie, and specialty items
• Conduct in-store tastings and pairings to educate customers and promote our products
• Prepare cheese plates and gift baskets for customers
• Ensure the proper care and storage of items sold in the Market Cheese Shops
• Check in deliveries and log invoices daily
• Maintain a clean and organized Cheese Shop and sales area, adhering to Market of Choice food safety standards

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong interest in artisan cheeses, and excellent customer service skills. Availability to work evenings and weekends is preferred. Must be 18 years or older.
