Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Med Center Health. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
  • Conduct exercises, modalities, electrical stimulation, and other treatments as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Instruct and motivate patients to improve functional activities, such as ambulation, transfers, and activities of daily living.
  • Monitor patients during treatment and report progress to the Physical Therapist.
  • Document treatment, response, and progress in patient charts or electronic records.
  • Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, and recommend modifications as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient care.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a physical therapy assistant program at a school of physical therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association.
  • Active or temporary licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
