Position Overview

The Operations Supervisor will oversee daily activities and staff to guarantee organizational productivity and effectiveness.

This role is crucial in a start-up environment, where in addition to leadership responsibilities, the individual will engage in various tasks such as testing, reporting, fabrication, and assembly as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor daily fabrication and testing activities
  • Provide guidance and direction to team members across all levels, from management to entry-level
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure effective workflow management and task prioritization
  • Work alongside the safety lead to meet safety initiatives
  • Develop, strategize, and implement improvements to existing processes
  • Ensure timely and efficient completion of processes and procedures
  • Identify, assess, and resolve personnel-related issues
  • Train, develop, and inspire team members
  • Foster a culture of respect and professionalism
  • Collaborate with the CAO and CFO/Controller, providing recommendations to the CEO
  • Ensure high-quality customer service for all subcontractors and clients
  • Implement accountability measures at all organizational levels
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations, and addressing complaints or terminations as necessary
Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years in a management or supervisory capacity
  • Degree in a STEM field
  • Demonstrated success and/or training in team coaching methodologies
  • Experience in the aerospace sector
  • Ability to handle confrontational situations effectively
  • Experience leading teams of 15 or more individuals
  • Background in laboratory environments
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations
  • Preferred experience with cryogenics
  • Must be a U.S. person (employment verification required on the first day)
