Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher with a minimum of 1+ years of experience in the field of special education.
Job Details:
Employment Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Student Caseload: K - 12th Grade, Itinerant
Compensation: $35 - $40 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and executing tailored education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and development.
- Delivering personalized instruction and modifying teaching methods to accommodate each student's unique requirements.
- Evaluating and tracking student performance, documenting successes, and pinpointing areas for enhancement.
- Working collaboratively with fellow educators, specialists, and families to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Employing a range of teaching strategies, materials, and resources to enrich student learning experiences.
- Integrating assistive technologies and adaptive tools as necessary to support student engagement and autonomy.
- Addressing students' social-emotional growth, behavior management, and self-regulation abilities.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Special Education is preferred.
- Possession of a valid teaching certificate or credential in Special Education.
- Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the capability to develop and implement them effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and support personnel.
