Our team of ASE certified technicians is equipped to assist you with a variety of services, including alignments, brake repairs, oil changes, battery replacements, shock and strut services, belt and hose replacements, and air conditioning repairs.
Role of the Automotive Technician
The Automotive Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that repairs are executed accurately and efficiently by skilled professionals, while also maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction within the service department.
This position involves effectively diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles in compliance with MAP guidelines, as well as adhering to the standards set forth by the dealership, manufacturers, and Sun Auto Tire & Service.
Compensation
:
VARIES FROM $30-$50 PER FLAG HOUR, BASED ON EXPERIENCE
Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose vehicles in accordance with the required certifications and experience levels.
2. Execute tasks as outlined in the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with precision and efficiency.
3. Communicate technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-technical individuals, which may include management and customers.
4. Recommend essential services to maintain the customer's vehicle in optimal condition; accurately document all recommendations in the customer file.
5. Adhere to all safety protocols and report any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.6. Maintain current ASE certifications and ensure timely renewal of any expiring certifications.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of one valid ASE certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays.
