Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech-Certified to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in coordination with licensed medical staff, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Observe and report all patient concerns/changes in condition to a registered nurse immediately.
- Assist the Registered Nurse with admission, transfer, discharge, and general patient care duties.
- Record vital signs, assist with personal hygiene, and other patient comfort measures.
- Assist in specimen collection and other activities of assigned patients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment to help prevent and/or control infections and provide for the safety of patients, visitors, and employees.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- Current WV Certified Nursing Assistant Certification or completion of hospital-based certification program.
- Prior patient care experience.
