At McMahon's Best-One Tire & Auto Care, a family-owned establishment with over 50 years of service in the automotive industry, we pride ourselves on our commitment to our customers, our community, and our dedicated team of employees.
We are currently seeking Automotive Service Technicians to enhance our workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Tire Services (performed in accordance with TIA standards):
- Remove, install, rotate, balance, and conduct flat repairs on tires.
- Reset TPMS as necessary.
- Examine tread depth, air pressure, and tire integrity, recommending corrective measures when needed.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct vehicle inspections using established forms and report potential repairs to the supervisor.
- Perform essential maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrication, filter inspections, and fluid replacements.
- Safely elevate and lower vehicles using hydraulic or floor jacks.
- Efficiently operate all shop equipment, including rim clamp machines, balancers, lifts, air-powered tools, and torque wrenches.
- Thoroughly read work orders and execute all assigned tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the workspace.
- Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Set up tire displays and signage each morning, ensuring they are stored properly at the end of the day.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Compensation: Pay ranges from $15 to $18 per hour. We also provide health insurance, a 401k plan with matching contributions, paid time off, and additional benefits.
Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive mechanics.
- A valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company insurance standards.
- Ongoing training is required as per company policies.
- Ability to operate diagnostic and alignment equipment.
