About the Role

New Story Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavioral Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our In-District Services team, you will play a critical role in enhancing special education services for students with various diagnoses.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect behavioral services to students and teachers in individual or group settings.
  • Supervise assigned staff, including Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Board Certified Assistants (BCaBAs), and other support personnel.
  • Oversight of ABA programs in the classroom, including paraprofessionals working directly with students.
  • Assess students to identify learning and program needs.
  • Develop and modify programs as needed.
  • Provide direct intervention, instruction, and supervision to support personnel.
  • Monitor program progress and provide daily progress reporting and data analysis.
  • Develop and implement functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans.
  • Provide consultation to teachers and other support personnel.
  • Assist with development of behavior strategies and IEP goals.
  • Provide instruction for Response to Intervention (RTI) and Behavioral Skills Training (BST).
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in psychology, special education, applied behavior analysis, or a related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • 2 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with special needs.
