eTeam Inc is currently seeking a travel nurse specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a travel nursing opportunity.


Position Details:
Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
Shift: 12 hours
Employment Type: Travel

Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience, including critical care and/or intermediate critical care experience.

Traveler Experience:
First-time travelers are welcome. Local candidates are also accepted.

Compensation:
Rate differences may apply.

Essential Skills:
Proficiency in IV Start, Telemetry, and Titration of Cardiac Drips.

Shift Information:
12-hour night shifts are required. All missed shifts should be compensated within the same week if feasible; otherwise, time will be added to the end of the contract. Holiday shifts are mandatory unless previously approved.

Floating Requirement:
Floating to the sister unit, 5th West ICCU, may be necessary as needed.

Weekend Commitment:
Every other weekend is required.

Unit Overview:
The Intermediate Critical Care Unit is a 20-bed facility dedicated to providing specialized care for patients with serious health conditions, including unstable hemodynamics and respiratory distress requiring non-invasive support.

Unit Responsibilities:
The unit is currently accepting COVID-19 patients, and travelers will be expected to provide care for these individuals. Only one pressor drip per patient is allowed; additional drips will necessitate transfer to ICU. Common drips administered include Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Neo.

Unit Systems:
PYXSIS, EPIC.

Orientation:
24 hours of orientation over 2 full days. EKG testing must be passed prior to starting in this specialty.
