Sumitomo Rubber, USA is seeking a highly skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of our boiler house equipment.

• Operate and maintain boilers, air compressors, and support equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oiling and greasing, and check gauges and meter readings to ensure proper adjustment and lubrication.
• Understand and implement safety codes and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Start up and shut down boilers, and perform daily tests on boiler make-up water, condensate, and feed water.
• Operate and maintain water treatment equipment, including pumps, softeners, RO system, DA tank, and cooling tower.
• Make repairs to boiler house equipment, including minor electrical repairs, and use tools as required.
• Observe all safety rules, keep working areas clean, and perform other related duties as required.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• First Class Stationary Engineer's License required; will be expected to obtain a First Class Stationary Engineer's License with the City of Buffalo within six (6) months of employment.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a boiler house engineer desirable.
• Job-Specific physical work capabilities.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug test.
• Willingness to work overnights and weekends.

The job is within a heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the factory. The position requires you to work a continuous operation, which may include Saturdays and Sundays. The position also requires you to work overtime, as needed. This facility requires that you wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This includes steel toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and a hat that are company provided.
