The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and continually improving our Industrial Automation equipment, ensuring our farms and offices are always operating at their best.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance: Follow established procedures to maintain the operation of equipment and systems throughout the facility, ensuring timely and thorough completion of tasks.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain the operation of equipment and systems, including building maintenance, plumbing, compressed air, HVAC, lighting, high-speed conveyors, and other machinery.
- Electrical Systems: Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate common failure modes and suggest corrective actions to eliminate root causes, partnering with the General Manager, Office staff, Engineering, and Safety teams in planning, ordering, and installing new equipment.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on damaged or malfunctioning equipment, making repairs where necessary, and recommending outside vendors to service equipment.
- Emergency Response: Respond to facility emergency situations and participate in the safety team that promotes a safe and healthy work culture.
- Compliance and Safety: Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives, practicing safe work habits and escalating known safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager or Health & Safety Manager.
- Physical Demands: Occasionally move items weighing up to 50 pounds across the facility.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2 or more years of related work experience.
- Skills: Strong mechanical skills on electric motors, vacuum pumps, air compressors, HVAC, etc., ability to accurately follow operation manuals, manufacturing and installation instructions, sketches, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Availability: Willingness to work evening and weekend shifts on occasion or rotating basis, flexible hours, and on-call rotation.
- Personal Qualities: Responsible, flexible, fast learner, self-starter, excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, analytical skills, and ability to provide constructive feedback and creative solutions to problems.
