Overview:
The primary objective of this role is to deliver routine daily nursing assistance and services to assigned residents, in alignment with their individual assessments and care plans, as well as directives from supervisory staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Utilize identification methods such as wristbands or photo cards to confirm resident identities prior to administering treatments or serving meals.
  • Document all relevant information on flow sheets, notes, and charts in a clear and detailed manner.
  • Employ only authorized abbreviations as per facility guidelines when recording information.
  • Promptly report any changes in residents' conditions to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
  • Document and report all observed accidents and incidents during the shift.
Personnel Responsibilities:
  • Execute all assigned duties in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as instructions from supervisors.
  • Adhere to work assignments and schedules to complete assigned tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with inter-departmental and facility personnel to ensure that nursing services meet residents' needs.
  • Foster an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positivity, while maintaining a calm environment throughout the unit and shift.
  • Regularly meet with nursing personnel to identify and address problem areas and enhance service quality.
  • Address and report any complaints or grievances expressed by residents.
  • Notify the facility of any tardiness or absences from work.
  • Report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, or hazardous chemicals to your supervisor.
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant license in accordance with state regulations in New Jersey.
