Dental Hygiene Adjunct Instructor Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Dental Hygiene Adjunct Instructor to join our team at West Georgia Technical College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching dental hygiene clinic courses in a classroom/lab/field environment that closely simulates the environment of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans for classroom and/or clinical instruction for credited technical/occupational courses
  • Evaluate students' progress in attaining goals and objectives
  • Request and maintain supplies and equipment and prepare budget requests
  • Maintain program certification/accreditation requirements as appropriate
  • Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports
  • Attend professional development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences
  • Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the discipline area
  • Meet with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues
  • Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CPR Certified
  • Registered Georgia State Licensed Dental Hygienist
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • Directly related teaching experience at the postsecondary level
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Dental Hygiene or a related field
  • Equivalent of 5 or more years' full-time clinical experience in dental hygiene
