After-school Yoga Instructor

Department: After-school Programs

Employment Type: Part Time

Location: Manhattan

Reporting To: Program Director

Compensation: $44.00 / hour

Overview

Manhattan Youth is seeking passionate and dedicated part-time After-school Instructors to enhance our team for the academic year. We are in search of enthusiastic individuals to guide our various sports teams and activities.

Our organization offers structured sports teams and clubs across a wide range of activities including basketball, soccer, softball, baseball, lacrosse, track and field, volleyball, wrestling, and more. We also incorporate fitness sessions such as yoga and general fitness classes.

After-school instructors are responsible for fostering students' social, emotional, and academic growth through diverse activities including sports, arts, and leadership development. We value creative, energetic, and committed educators who embrace teamwork and positive behavioral strategies.

Ideal candidates are proactive, nurturing, and results-driven educators who prioritize evidence-based practices to enhance student success and well-being. Maintaining a positive, engaging, and supportive atmosphere, along with a willingness to learn from experiences, is essential. Instructors will showcase creativity and passion in their teaching, promoting an environment that encourages children's independent exploration, self-confidence, and problem-solving skills.

We aim to fill multiple positions to reinstate our after-school programs to in-person learning. These roles are part-time and hourly, aligning with the academic calendar. After-school programs typically run Monday through Friday, with varying schedules depending on the school. Opportunities to lead multiple clubs across different locations are available.
