Responsibilities

Gregory P Helfrich & Associates (Claims Litigation Office for State Farm) is seeking a litigation attorney to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication, organizational, time management, and technological skills. This role requires resourcefulness and a strong work ethic, with the capability to independently manage the defense of personal injury litigation from initial response to trial while delivering outstanding customer service. Candidates with 1 to 5 years of experience in insurance defense or litigation are preferred, with trial experience considered a plus. State Farm emphasizes the professional growth of our attorneys. This position operates in a hybrid setting, requiring some in-office presence while allowing for remote work. Work arrangements may evolve over time based on business requirements.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
  • Active license to practice law in New Jersey and a member in good standing with the state bar
  • 1 to 5 years of experience, preferably in insurance defense
  • Experience in a paperless work environment
  • Strong technical and automation skills
  • Applicants must be eligible to work lawfully in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work opportunities
  • Potential yearly salary range: $125,625 – $135,000
  • Potential yearly incentive pay: up to 16% of base salary.
