Dredge Operator

ER Jahna Management Inc. is seeking a skilled Dredge Operator to join our team. As a Dredge Operator, you will be responsible for operating a Jet Suction Dredge, Cutter-head Dredge, or similar equipment to support the daily functions of the mine.

• Operate a Jet Suction Dredge, Cutter-head Dredge, or similar equipment to support the daily functions of the mine.
• Inspect equipment and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Assist other workers in maintaining or replacing equipment.
• Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks as directed by the mine manager.
• May be required to perform dredge operation and/or maintenance at other mine locations.

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
• Trade or Technical schooling a plus.
• Two (2) years of experience relating to operation of a suction or cutter-head dredge preferred.
• Preventative Maintenance and “hands on” work experience.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Welding and torch cutting skills a plus.

The Dredge Operator will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to loud noises, dust, and vibration. The employee must be able to climb up and down a ladder up or stairways to a height of 30 +/- feet. The employee will also be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
