Job Overview:

The Cardiovascular Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring patient care within the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This role requires the delivery of personalized, professional patient care through proficient knowledge and safe execution of cardiac catheterization lab protocols.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program.

Preferred:

Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):

  • Current RCIS certification or RAD license.
  • At least 6 months of clinical experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required.

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Days
  • Per Diem

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for patient care and monitoring before, during, and after procedures.
  • Assists physicians with Cath/PCI, peripheral, structural heart (Mitraclip, Watchman), EP cases, and neuro procedures.
  • Follows on-call policy requirements.
  • Completes special assignments within the lab and participates in quality improvement initiatives and inventory management.
  • Utilizes knowledge of growth and development principles to assess and address each patient's age-specific needs and provide appropriate treatment and care.
