Position Overview


The selected candidate will collaborate within cross-functional teams, providing software requirements, design, and implementation for both current and next-generation software and systems projects.

The individual will gain a comprehensive understanding of design requirements to ensure that the system's objectives are accurately defined and successfully achieved.

A strong technical background, complemented by excellent communication and teamwork skills, is essential. Experience in a software development background within a structured or regulated environment, such as medical device development, is required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain embedded systems, Windows embedded, and desktop applications.

• Contribute to the functional requirements definition.

• Participate in software work product reviews and inspections.

• Interface, integrate, troubleshoot, and debug both software and hardware components.

• Generate necessary product development documentation, including Functional Specifications and design documents.

• Execute manual or automated tests for software application verification and validation.

• Design, code, and validate software tools for manufacturing processes.

• Collaborate with Software Test, Support, and Manufacturing teams to resolve software issues.

• Drive enhancements to product and process quality.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science.

• Minimum of 8 years of software design and development experience for a BS degree or 6+ years for an MS degree.

• At least 5 years of experience in embedded system programming using C/C++, C#/.Net, with proficiency in real-time software development.

• Experience with embedded microcontrollers such as ST micro, TI C2800, or Microchip.

• Familiarity with in-circuit debugging tools.


• Proven experience in structured software and systems development and integration, including knowledge of software design methodologies, design patterns, and component-oriented software architecture to produce high-quality applications.

• Experience in developing event-driven, multi-threaded applications.

• Comfortable with fundamental electrical engineering concepts.

• Ability to understand hardware schematics and develop software to control hardware.

• Experience with communication protocols such as Bluetooth, UART, and SPI.

• Basic understanding of control algorithms like PID.

• Prior experience in motion control or fluid management is preferred.

• Experience in medical devices or similarly regulated software environments is preferred.

• Knowledge of software life cycle processes used in regulated development environments.

• Result-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of functioning as both a team member and an individual contributor.
