Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our team at Alfi Oral, Dental Implant & Facial Surgery. This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $17.00 - $18.00 per hour.

About the Role

This position involves assisting oral surgeons with various surgical procedures, including dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, bone grafting, and jaw surgery. Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, setting up instruments, and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the oral surgeon with surgical procedures, including patient preparation, anesthesia administration, and post-operative care.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing equipment, setting up instruments, and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
  • Greet patients, review their medical history, and explain the surgical process in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and alert the oral surgeon to any concerns or changes in condition.
  • Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on proper aftercare procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing instruments and disposing of biohazardous waste.
  • Communicate with other members of the dental team to ensure that patient care is coordinated and efficient.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent, certification as a Dental Assistant or Oral Surgery Assistant, and previous experience working in a dental or oral surgery setting. Knowledge of dental terminology and surgical procedures is also essential.
