Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will engage in both outpatient and inpatient care, ensuring comprehensive support for our oncology patients.
Outpatient Responsibilities Include:
Managing a diverse patient population, conducting pre-surgical assessments, and facilitating follow-up care while addressing various needs such as nutritional and gastrointestinal concerns.
Perform thorough patient evaluations, including detailed history assessments, physical examinations, and necessary diagnostic tests.
Collaborate with the surgical oncologist to formulate and execute personalized treatment strategies.
Provide education and emotional support to patients, addressing inquiries regarding their diagnosis, treatment pathways, and post-treatment recovery.
Execute minor surgical interventions and oversee wound care management.
Track and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment protocols.
Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, radiologists, and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Engage in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case discussions to enhance treatment outcomes.
Inpatient duties involve patient rounds, either independently or in collaboration with the physician.
Qualified candidates may have the opportunity to assist in the operating room.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience in oncology, surgical oncology, or critical care is preferred.
Demonstrated clinical proficiency in evaluating and managing oncology patients.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Capacity to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care is essential.
Minimal on-call responsibilities are anticipated.
Recent graduates are encouraged to submit their applications.
Access to state-of-the-art technology and resources in surgical oncology, including Hepatic Artery Infusion (HAI) pump, HIPEC, and minimally invasive procedures for esophageal and pancreatic conditions.
