Role Responsibilities:

This position entails comprehensive oversight of design and management for various projects, including commercial, entertainment retail, multi-family housing, K-12 and higher education facilities, healthcare, civic projects, government initiatives, historic preservation, and other diverse project types.

Key Duties Include:

  • Providing leadership and mentorship to team members on structural engineering projects.
  • Conducting independent engineering design on tasks with defined objectives and limited variables.
  • Engaging in all project phases, including schematic design, design development, final design, working drawings, specifications, agency approvals, and construction phase services.
  • Preparing accurate calculations within project parameters.
  • Creating detailed specifications for BIM and CAD Designers.
  • Conducting QA/QC reviews on engineering projects.
  • Monitoring and adhering to project schedules and budgetary goals.
  • Communicating effectively with Architects, Design Team members, Enforcement Agencies, and other project stakeholders.
  • Following established work protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance processes, improve efficiencies, and reduce costs.
  • Assuming additional duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering (with a Structural emphasis) from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil/Structural preferred.
  • Experience in Building Structural Engineering with materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and light gauge steel.
  • Familiarity with RISA and similar engineering software applications.
  • Proficiency in the International Building Code and related regulations.
