Bindery Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled Bindery Operator to join our team at Midstate Group LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for executing the daily work schedule, ensuring quality control, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Operate Bindery Department equipment, including Collate, Creaser, Folder, Mailer, Tabber, and other machinery.
- Update job status upon completion of work and assist with preventive maintenance as needed.
- Understand Postal Regulations, Address Block location, tabbing requirements, and mail preparation.
- Support the Digital Print area, including Xante and Digital devices.
- Develop and administer department operational policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other machine operators and supervisors to meet staffing needs.
- Follow department operational policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to achieve company and departmental goals.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of printing, finishing, mailing, and related processes.
- Excellent working knowledge of department equipment.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
- Ability to work well with diverse groups or individuals.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
- Basic computer operation skills.
- Ability to understand and communicate the company's vision.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Printing/Finishing experience a plus, but not necessary. On-the-job training provided.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply basic math concepts (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Physical and Working Conditions:
The job is performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to large equipment, noise, and materials related to the printing process.
