We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist (Intern) to join our team at Adventist Health. As a Pharmacist (Intern), you will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and assist in the operation of the pharmacy, ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist staff pharmacists in the operation of the pharmacy, including compounding, preparing, and dispensing medications.
- Monitor drug therapies and identify potential medication safety hazards.
- Process, enter, verify, and send medication orders in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with department and hospital policies, Joint Commission, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in quality assurance procedures and contribute to department cost savings.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy School and in good standing, or within one year of graduating an accredited Pharmacy School waiting licensure.
- Pharmacist Intern licensure in the state of practice.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician licensure in the state of practice (preferred).
