BIM Technician

About the Job:

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled BIM Technician to join our team. As a BIM Technician, you will play a critical role in creating, modifying, and validating detailed 2D and 3D construction drawings to meet project expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D construction drawings to meet project expectations.
• Develop field install drawings for the Operations team.
• Provide input to the project dashboard/tracking system.
• Collaborate with the Operations team and BIM support lead to ensure efficient and effective detailing and installation practices.
• Review, evaluate, and maintain VDC deliverables.
• Measure project outcomes in terms of labor efficiency and quality.
• Provide feedback to the BIM lead and Supervisor to identify areas for improvement.
• Complete record drawings at the end of the project.
• Work on various construction projects, including commercial, mission critical, healthcare, industrial, and high-rise projects.
• Understand the project's customer needs and provide accurate timeline of efforts.
• Identify and communicate potential installation clashes with other trades.
• Read and understand submittals for physical equipment sizing and/or layout during modeling.

Requirements:

• Strong BIM software experience or commercial field electrical experience.
