Position Overview:STATE OF OREGON YOUTH LIFE PROGRAM SUPERVISOR

Salary Range: $29.29 - $35.35 hourly

Join our dedicated team at the Eastern Oregon Youth Correctional Facility as a Youth Life Program Supervisor.

The State of Oregon is seeking to fill several positions for the role of Youth Life Program Supervisor. In this capacity, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for both the youth in our care and our staff members. Your responsibilities will involve direct engagement with the youth, providing guidance and serving as a positive role model to ensure their daily activities are constructive and beneficial. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Guiding and addressing youth behavior as necessary.
  • Evaluating, documenting, and assessing youth behavior, attitudes, and performance, including their participation in various activities.
  • Preparing Youth Incident Reports (YIRs) and documenting any unusual occurrences.
  • Training and supervising youth in various tasks within the facility, such as maintenance, kitchen duties, and landscaping.
  • Overseeing youth during community-based activities when appropriate.
  • Monitoring youth for potential health and safety risks.
  • Conducting security checks and searches.
  • Administering medication to youth under the supervision of medical staff.
  • Providing secure transportation for youth to appointments.
