We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Specimen Processor to join our team at Antech Diagnostics. As a Specimen Processor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory by accurately processing and preparing samples for analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process specimens for laboratory analysis, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Accurately accession and label samples, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Sort and distribute samples to various laboratory departments, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel to ensure seamless sample processing and analysis.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-4 year degree in a science-related field preferred.
- 0-1 year of related experience in a laboratory setting.
- Strong laboratory skills, with experience in medical and laboratory terminology and specimen processing procedures and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
This role requires extensive sitting, computer use, and standing for up to 2 hours. The ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds is also required. The laboratory environment may involve exposure to biohazards and potentially hazardous chemicals.
