As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in the success of our students while overseeing the dynamics and functioning of all staff within the classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Development
    • Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.
    • Prepare and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Lesson Planning and Instruction
    • Design and implement lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students based on IEP goals and objectives.
    • Use a variety of instructional strategies to keep students actively engaged in learning.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Submit required documentation, including lesson plans, IEPs, report cards, progress reports, and evaluation reports.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork
    • Work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement appropriate services.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • 6+ months of experience working with children with behavior/learning disorders.
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Licenses and Certifications
    • Teacher - Spec. Ed. certification.
    • PA Teacher License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters or better in Special Education or a related field.
