Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. As a key member of our Digital Services Enterprise Tools Team, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and operation of our Enterprise Management Tools Suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system/application health, network, and application performance
  • Adjust thresholds, make configuration changes, and add or delete nodes/accounts/profiles
  • Support performance monitoring solutions and metrics reporting for web applications
  • Assist with testing and deploying hotfixes/patches/new releases of the tools suite
  • Develop knowledge articles, documentation, and work instructions for the Tools Team and users
Requirements
  • 5+ years of related experience in system administration, network administration, and application performance management
  • Strong understanding of event management, system/application health, server operating system, agent and agentless monitoring, network, application, and end-point performance
  • Proficient in Windows Server Administrator, RHEL/Linux Server Administrator, and network device system administration
  • Experience with web application technologies, Linux/UNIX commands, and Windows Server OS
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Application/System Admin experience with the OpenText Operations Bridge Suite
  • Experience with InMon Traffic Sentinel and data analytics applications (Splunk or Elastic ELK)
  • Programming experience in Python, R, JavaScript, Perl, or UNIX scripting
