Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, individualized care to patients of diverse backgrounds and medical needs, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and anesthesiologists, to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments and interventions to address potential physical or psychosocial issues related to anesthesia.
- Education: Prepare patients and their families for surgical procedures, providing essential information and addressing any concerns.
- Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, particularly during vulnerable moments, demonstrating expert clinical judgment and decision-making.
- Quality Improvement: Engage in performance improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical documentation standards.

Qualifications- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required within five years of hire.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Certifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is required post-hire.
This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift/push/pull over 100 lbs. Nurses may be exposed to various environmental factors, including chemicals and infectious materials.
