We are currently looking for an Experienced Carpenter 2 to enhance our construction team. This role involves assisting with daily tasks on various projects, leading a crew, and developing advanced carpentry and leadership skills essential for career progression in the carpentry field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, overseeing a team effectively.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
  • Execute all phases of renovations and new construction, including finishing work.
  • Measure and calculate the necessary materials for projects.
  • Cut, shape, and smooth various materials according to specifications, constructing window frames, doors, staircases, and buildings.
  • Install flooring, roofing, or drywall, ensuring proper leveling and compatibility.
  • Design and assemble furniture, cabinets, and shelves, installing them in designated areas.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting and wallpapering, applying finishes using various tools.
  • Replace or repair flooring materials and conduct maintenance on various surfaces.
  • Collaborate on department-wide projects and assist other trades as needed.
  • Conduct inspections and perform necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Build scaffolding and other necessary construction structures.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Report any policy or personnel issues to supervision as they arise.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Trade school training is preferred.
  • 4-5 years of experience in a carpentry-related field is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience as a Crew Leader (Foreman).
  • Proficient in various carpentry materials and techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and air tools, as well as heavy machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Completed carpentry apprenticeship is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of finish carpentry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and safety awareness.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Proficient in using office equipment and computers.
