This position involves working collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to identify and address speech and language disorders, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language challenges.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each student, ensuring that they receive the best possible care.
  • Collaborate with Educators and Parents: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, to help them overcome speech and language challenges.
  • Monitor and Document Progress: Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed to ensure that students meet their goals.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to the multidisciplinary team to ensure that students receive the best possible support.
  • Offer Professional Development: Offer professional development and support to teachers and staff on speech and language topics to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • OH State License: Hold an OH state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence: Possess an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Experience in School Setting: Have experience working in a school setting, preferably with students with speech and language disorders.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals.
