Unarmed Security Officers

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is seeking dedicated security personnel with exceptional customer service abilities and security expertise to enhance our esteemed workforce. The preferred candidate will possess: prior law enforcement experience, military background, and/or a minimum of two years of unarmed security experience. This is a full-time temporary role. We encourage applications from retirees and veterans.

Compensation: $14 per hour, with weekly payments.

Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting regular and random patrols across various locations.
  • Documenting any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activities.
  • Implementing control measures when necessary.
  • Utilizing emergency equipment as required.
  • Preparing nightly operational reports and filing weekly summaries.
  • Investigating property breaches.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Outstanding customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Active cellphone.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond clearly and swiftly in emergencies.
  • Ability to read and interpret written information under diverse circumstances.
  • Capability to operate a motor vehicle as part of job duties if necessary.
  • Ability to detect and identify sounds pertinent to emergencies against background noise.
  • Physical capabilities to walk, run, stand, climb, and sit.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. to waist height when required.
  • Good mental health and the capacity to make quick decisions in emergencies.
  • Must meet the physical and mental criteria for state licensing as a Security Officer.
