Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepare the patient for the exam.
  • Be sensitive to the patient's needs throughout the procedure and explain the procedure to the patient and family to facilitate cooperation and alleviate anxiety.
  • Perform radiologic exams that produce quality images and ensure patient and staff safety by following proper protocols, correct patient positioning, and adhering to radiation protection and guidelines.
  • Utilize sterile technique when performing invasive procedures.
  • Recognize emergent patient situations and respond quickly and appropriately.
  • Thoroughly and accurately complete all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
  • Coordinate patient care and communicate pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Pursue individual education and career development opportunities, emphasizing those for new procedures and equipment.
  • Assist and instruct students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
Requirements
  • ARRT registration.
  • Current Rad Tech license in state of practice (if working in Utah).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare providers.
  • May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire and perform the function of an MA (as required by Medical Group).
Preferred Qualifications
  • IV certification.

This position is located at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah.
