Cedarhurst of La Vista is a respected provider in the healthcare sector, committed to enhancing the lives of older adults. We are currently seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to contribute to our community.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include assisting residents with their personal care needs, ensuring they maintain proper hygiene, and supporting their daily living activities. Your role is vital in promoting their health and encouraging participation in community activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance and guidance to residents with personal care tasks such as grooming, hygiene, and nutrition.
  • Respond to resident needs promptly through signal lights, bells, or intercom systems.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, as instructed.
  • Assist residents with mobility, including walking and repositioning.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks, such as changing bed linens and running errands.
  • Support residents during meal times and encourage participation in community activities.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and report any concerns to the care team.
  • Foster the physical, emotional, and personal well-being of residents, aiming to promote their independence.
  • Understand and respect residents' Advance Directives.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure effective communication with residents' families regarding care.
  • Engage positively with colleagues and demonstrate conflict resolution skills when necessary.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and moving residents as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited CNA program is preferred.
  • Experience as a certified nursing assistant is preferred.
  • CPR or BLS certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records is preferred.
  • Dependability and flexibility in scheduling are essential.
  • Knowledge of senior living care regulations is beneficial.
