Pride Industries is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pest Control Supervisor to join our team. As a Pest Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of pest control staff, providing guidance and direction, and ensuring that all services are delivered to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct the work of pest control staff to ensure that all services are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
- Provide guidance and training to pest control staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Oversee the scheduling and allocation of pest control staff to ensure that all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor and report on the performance of pest control staff to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure that all pest control services are delivered in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all pest control services are integrated with other business functions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the services provided.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure that all pest control services are being delivered to the required standards.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure that all pest control equipment and vehicles are maintained in good working order.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure that all pest control staff are trained and equipped to handle emergency situations.
Requirements:
- A minimum of three years experience in pest management operations, including one year in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control.
- Supervisory skills to hire qualified employees, provide for their professional development, administer performance management and disciplinary processes effectively, and address employee relations appropriately.
- Ability to effectively supervise and develop assigned team to meet production/service goals while adhering to safety policies and rules.
- Effective oral and written communication skills using appropriate business English.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, common sense, and problem-solving skills.
- Human relation skills to build effective relationships with team and customers.
- Effective customer service skills.
- Intermediate computer literacy, including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
- Knowledge of business English, including vocabulary and spelling.
- Fundamental mathematical ability, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to establish priorities and solve operational problems.
- Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Certificates or Licenses Required:
Pest Control Branch 2
Valid Driver's License
Preferred/Required to Obtain within 6 Months of Hire:
Pest Control Branch 3
QAL in categories A, B, C, F, & K
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
- Answering phone/making calls
- Viewing computer screen/monitor
- Utilizing keyboard
- Maneuvering in and around equipment and the worksite
- May require standing, walking, walking on uneven surfaces
- Bending, kneeling, squatting, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and shoveling
- Traveling to various locations within worksite
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in the field, driving to and from worksite locations performing surveillance, treatments, and quality control. Equipment can be located in crawl spaces, rooftops, and outside facility. Employees may be exposed to toxic substances where it is required to wear a respiratory mask which fits snug and close to the face. Additionally, employees may be exposed to noise from equipment, and depending on external weather conditions, wind, rain, cold, and heat.
