Job Title: Fixed Income Liaison Trader

At Charles Schwab, we're seeking a skilled Fixed Income Liaison Trader to join our team. As a key member of our Fixed Income Sales organization, you will be responsible for executing fixed income transactions on behalf of our retail and registered investment advisor clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client fixed income transactions in secondary corporate and municipal bonds as well as secondary CDs.
  • Provide excellent service and support to our fixed income sales organization.
  • Resolve trade problems while maintaining strong relationships with trading counterparties.
  • Monitor trading performance metrics and conduct activities in support of overall execution quality.
  • Perform a variety of support functions such as generating trading reports, onboarding new trading counterparties, conducting monthly reviews, monitoring counterparty credit thresholds, and participating in technology improvement activities.
  • Adhere to industry regulations and ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to provide analysis for fixed income trading.
  • Partner closely with teams in fixed income sales, risk, operations, technology, compliance, and other external trading platforms and broker/dealers.
  • Drive continued improvements to our business processes and technology.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses required.
  • FINRA Series 57 licenses required (can be obtained in 180 calendar days as a condition of employment).
  • FINRA Series 52 required if the Series 7 was obtained after 11/7/2011 (can be obtained in 180 calendar days as a condition of employment).
  • Proficient technical and analytical skills, including Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage daily work load.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to develop and grow relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • A proven track record of delivering on data-driven projects or initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills, a high degree of responsibility, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of trading or financial markets experience, fixed income experience.
  • Experience working in Bloomberg.
