Position Overview:
As a Behavior Analyst specializing in educational environments, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the learning experiences of students with special needs. This position offers a competitive salary with weekly paychecks, and is structured as a W2 employment opportunity, complete with benefits and a 401(k) savings plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments and educational evaluations to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
- Foster collaborative relationships with school personnel and provide training on effective applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Offer ongoing support and mentorship to staff, ensuring the integrity of treatment plans and promoting professional development.
- Address behavioral concerns through coaching and, when necessary, disciplinary measures.
- Design individualized behavior goals tailored to the unique needs and capabilities of each student.
- Implement non-aversive strategies for prevention, intervention, and consequences.
- Gather, analyze, and document data within specified timelines to validate program effectiveness.
- Participate in IEP meetings to present behavioral progress and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- A Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, education, psychology, or a related discipline.
- Preferred experience in delivering behavior analytic services within school settings.
- A minimum of one year of pediatric experience is preferred.
- Adherence to all relevant professional standards and practices.
- Completion of the Amergis Competency program, if applicable.
- Current CPR certification, if applicable.
- Compliance with health regulations, including TB testing and health certificates.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English required.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
