About the Role

Sodexo, a leading private employer of Registered Dietitians, is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian for Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill. This position will cover a variety of patients at this 120-bed medical facility, and will work inpatient three days a week, and at the Outpatient Nutrition Clinic two days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units;
  • Provide MNT counseling to patients one day a week in the outpatient setting;
  • Work a rotating weekend schedule;
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the nutrition department;
  • Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses.
Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in PA;
  • Experience in the healthcare setting, preferably inpatient;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player;
  • The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND);
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND);
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire;
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
