Night Owl Reconnaissance is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting law enforcement agencies with missing person cases. Our mission is to provide support, resources, and assistance to help bring missing individuals home safely.

About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and visionary individuals who reside in the Greater St. Louis, MO area to serve as volunteer members of our Young Professionals Board. As a board member, you will play a pivotal role in fundraising activities and event planning, and contribute expertise and insights to board discussions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fundraising and Resource Development: Spearhead fundraising efforts and initiatives to secure essential financial resources for Night Owl Reconnaissance.
  • Community Engagement and Awareness: Leverage your networks and expertise to raise awareness about missing person cases and the critical role of Night Owl Reconnaissance.
  • Leadership and Advocacy: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Young Professionals Board, and collaborate with organizational leadership to align board initiatives with the overall mission and goals of Night Owl Reconnaissance.
  • Professionals Development and Networking: Enhance your leadership skills, expand your professional networks, and contribute to meaningful causes.
  • Sustainability and Long-Term Impact: Foster a culture of philanthropy, innovation, and collaboration to ensure the long-term sustainability and success of Night Owl Reconnaissance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience within the last 5-10 years.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic planning and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and impact.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering inclusivity, respect, and mutual support.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Night Owl Reconnaissance, with a passion for making a difference in the community.
Commitment

Contribute up to 5 hours per week on average and up to 4 monthly meetings (1 in-person meeting and 3 virtual meetings).
