Medical Imaging Specialist

Employment Type:
Contract - 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient intake, gathering medical histories, and preparing patients for imaging procedures.
- Reviewing medical records and physician notes prior to examinations, and maintaining accurate patient documentation throughout the process.
- Preparing necessary radiopharmaceuticals for imaging contrast.
- Positioning patients and imaging equipment to ensure optimal image capture.
- Monitoring patient safety and comfort during imaging sessions.
- Calibrating imaging equipment to produce high-quality images as per physician specifications.
- Organizing and logging imaging results, developing films, assisting in the interpretation of radiographic findings, and collaborating with Radiologists for further imaging if required.
- Ensuring proper sterilization and maintenance of imaging equipment, and reporting any malfunctions.
- Coordinating with the radiology department to schedule and perform imaging procedures efficiently.
- Staying informed about the latest practices in radiology.
Qualifications:
- Must hold ARRT registration and a valid MA State Radiology License.
- BLS certification is required.
- Experience with EPIC/PACS systems is essential.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting is required.
- COVID Vaccination and Booster are mandatory at the time of application.
Work Schedule:
- Day Shift
- 5X8 schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Weekend availability may be required.
Compensation:
* $2500 - $2700 per week
- Gross weekly pay for travelers including stipends AHC01
