Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiologic images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring accurate exposure factors and patient safety.
  • Administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor patient activity during procedures and report any abnormalities.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize patient exposure.
  • Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Maintain equipment functionality and report any issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.

Requirements:

  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
